INSPIRATION
This is my version of the famous print of “The Wave of Kanagawa”, created after seeing the original in 2019 at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Over the years, this huge wave has become a symbol of climate change and the rising of the oceans.
I used fluid acrylic for this piece, letting green, purples and blues blend and recreate the movement of the water. A blend of movement and serenity, like the calm before the storm. This color palette makes it ideal for bedrooms, offices and living rooms.
Prints are perfect for any Japanese print enthusiast or environmental activist. Original painting in acrylic is on a private collection in Spain since 2019.
