Sunset in the Fields

I drive daily between Champaign and Danville. During the Winter months, usually I return back to town at sunset time, so I have the pleasure to experience sunset in its plenitude by the cornfields. 

One particular February evening, the sunset left an enduring impression in me, so as soon as I arrived to the studio, I had to paint it.
