INSPIRATION
“Sunset at St Joe’s Pier” was painted right there, on the pier at St. Joseph, MI, in a single sitting. I wanted to capture that unique moment when the sky meets the lake in a quiet but powerful sunset.
Using soft, layered watercolors, I brought out all the subtle tones that make those last light moments feel so vivid.
The result is a piece that’s both peaceful and full of quiet energy. A reminder of how calming and refreshing a lakeside summer sunset can be.

Original painting sold in 2023 in the US as a gift for a Michigan relative.
