INSPIRATION
This painting was inspired by an intense sunset at Kickapoo State Park in Illinois, after a long hike in a summer evening.
The saturated yellow sun, surrounded by deep reds, created a scene so vivid it was impossible to look away. A perfect ending for an evening of nature and laughs with friends. As the sky faded into cooler tones, it naturally framed the brightness at the center—like the sun was putting on one last show before disappearing for the night.
It’s a bold, high-energy piece that instantly draws attention. Perfect for entryways, living rooms, or any space that could use a burst of color and warmth.
