INSPIRATION
I painted this after a solo trip to Door County, WI—probably my favorite spot in the Midwest. I went on a whim after a recommendation, with no expectations, and ended up falling in love with it.
I remember sitting on the hotel deck, watching the golden sunset over Lake Michigan. The sky was glowing, the water shifting between warm and dark tones, and everything just slowed down.
That feeling stayed with me, and I poured it into this piece. The bold yellow brings light and joy to any space—it’s hard to look away. A little celebration of summer at its best, and a perfect gift for anyone who loves those golden evenings.
