This vibrant painting captures the essence of a Midwest sunset, with a sky bursting in expressive swirls of color and cotton-candy clouds drifting across. Making the ordinary, extraordinary.
I drive West across I-74 several times a week, many times around sunset time. But deep down this painting is all about that quiet shift on my commute home, flipping the switch from my responsabilities at work and softening into my "me time".
After a long day working at my day job, those colors in the sky feel like my cue to step into my creative world, even if it’s just for a few hours, before the cycle starts again.
